The course exams are presented according to university guidelines for preparing the final exam
based on the course learning outcomes (Annex S2-1-5-2 Guidelines for Preparing the Final Exam
based on the Course Learning Outcomes). Samples of course profile have been submitted and
analyzed (ENG 1500_Numerical Analysis). Course Blueprint for CLOs assessment, form of course
exam meets the exam criteria in the guide and random sample correction report are presented
(Annex S2-1-5-3 Sample of Course File).
Samples of student work and tests submitted to clarify their consistency with the learning
outcomes and assessment methods used. Also it is clear that, courses rubrics are prepared
according to university guidelines (Annex S2-1-5-4 Rubrics for Students work).
Moreover, the program established tools that ensure and monitor the commitment of the
teaching staff to the learning and teaching strategies as follows:
• The head of Department assign coordinators for each course at the beginning of each
semester (Annex S2-1-5-5 Minutes of the Mechanical Engineering Department to Decree of
Course Coordinators – Pages 10, 21 and 32).
• There is a clear policy of Course specification; planning, implementation, delivery and
reporting which control the process of course design implementation and reporting.
• Before the beginning of any course, the course coordinator and course committee update the
course specifications based on action plan in previous course report. The course specifications
consists of; course identification and general information, course objectives, course
description, topics to be covered and the names of the assigned teacher for each topic,
learning domains and CLOs, teaching strategies that correspond to each CLO, assessment
methods that are aligned to the teaching strategies and CLOs, schedule of assessment tasks
for students during the course (Annex S2-1-5-6 Sample of Course Specification).
• Teaching staff participate regularly in training programs to be aware of different teaching
strategies and their effectiveness in MENG program (Annex S2-1-5-7 Sample of Teaching Staff
Training).
