5. Equal and Non-Discriminatory
Human rights are enjoyed equally by all people without discrimination based on race,
color, sex, religion, disability, or any other status.
6. Legally Protected
Human rights are protected and enforced through national constitutions, laws, and
international treaties and conventions.
7. Based on Human Dignity
Human rights are rooted in the inherent dignity and worth of every human being, which
must be respected at all times.
8. Accountability and Rule of Law
Governments and institutions are responsible for respecting, protecting, and fulfilling
human rights, and they can be held accountable for violations.
9. Progressive Realization
Some human rights, especially economic and social rights, may be achieved gradually
based on available resources, but states must continuously work toward their full
realization.
10. Participatory and Inclusive
Human rights emphasize participation, meaning individuals have the right to take part in
decisions that affect their lives.

Human rights play a vital role in building a fair, just, and stable society. They provide a moral and
legal framework that protects individuals and promotes equality, freedom, and dignity for all
people.
