SUSTAINABILITY and RESPONSIBILITY

Given that approximately 90% of the world's largest cities are waterfront, we are being forced to reconsider our lives with water in the built

environment. Given the unpredictability of future developments and unforeseen needs, we should develop flexible strategies. In doing so, we

also pursue the vision that large-scale floating projects in an urban environment offer a tangible solution to these problems that are both flexible

and sustainable, taking into account urban components that are dynamic rather than static.

The use of the existing urban water as building ground relieves the

space for a new density and offers cities worldwide the

opportunity to react flexibly to climate change and urbanization.

To this end, architects and project planners are planning the

first cities, whose projects include floating social housing as

well as floating islands and floating residential buildings.

For example, the Maldives have agreed to develop floating

islands, floating golf courses and floating hotels with

conference centers as part of a joint venture.

This Maldives master plan is a solution to the urgency of sea

               level rise.

However, these new developments will also have a positive

impact on social and economic progress.

All over the world people have started to see the potential of

               pending developments.
