If you call or stop in at the Senior Resource Center at the Freeport office and you are seeking Information
and Assistance, you may experience the privilege of speaking with Donna Jarrard. Donna, a Resource Spe-
cialist, is available to help you with many things. If she can’t answer your questions or provide the
help you need, she will refer you to someone at the Senior Center or in the community who
can.
Donna came to Freeport approximately 22 years ago when her husband, Dennis, be-
came the pastor at Laurel Street Commu- nity Church. They continue ministering
there and they love their church family! Dennis is also the Freeport Police
Chaplain.
Donna
says she
enjoys living
in Freeport
and is proud to
call it their
home even
though they have no relatives here. Donna and her hus-
band have two grown children; Dustin and Dana, and just recently
Donna Jarrard
acquired a son in law, John. Another new addi- tion to their family is a 9 week old German Shep- hard puppy named Mika. They have no grandkids, but do have 3 grand dogs; Charlie, Lexi, and Bubba.
Donna enjoys camping with her husband, although
she calls it “glamping” as they don’t really rough it too much. She also loves to crochet, go to vintage shabby chic shops with her daughter, to hang out with her fami- ly and she enjoys traveling and sightseeing. She believes there is much to see and do in all the states of the U.S.
