Liberty Utilities Helps LESD Feed the Children!
by Jenny Cross, Community Water Resource Coordinator
The Litchfield Elementary School
District (LESD) and Liberty Utilities
is helping to feed all children 18 and
younger FREE breakfast, lunch and
dinner so that no child will have to go
hungry over the summer!
The LESD Summer Feeding Program
officially kicked off on May 30th and
runs through July 22nd. All children 18 and under eat for free, regardless of income
status, and adults can purchase breakfast for $2, and lunch/dinner for $3.
Liberty Utilities is there to help. Last year Liberty Utilities had 42 employees volunteer
84 hours helping to serve over 5,500 children at the Wigwam Creek Middle School location. We are volunteering this year and, in
addition, our Liberty Utilities Water Wagon is available to dispense free drinking water.
This year the program has special themed weeks, such as Water Week, International Week and Animal Barnyard Week. Please come
check it out! For locations and times, please visit our website at www.libertyutilities.com and click on the news and events page.
