3. Description of the Ports Facilities within 50 km.

The following are ports facilities located within and outside the city
limits. Due to the historical development of Asuncion it was
advantageous then to build ports on the north side of the city.
However, due to population growth at the present most of them are
surrounded by the city, creating a difficult traffic situation, both,
for their operation as well as for the population. Some of the listed
ports are smaller inland operations.
