The volumes of reefer cargoes increased significantly with the
opening of a new slaughterhouse in the area of Concepción,
Frigorifico JBS and the securing of new markets in the EU, Israel
and Russia. According to estimates, the total exported reefers in
2016 were approximately 16,000.
Another important point is that none of the terminals mentioned
have cold storage facility for meat and meat products which opens
a big door for potential customers. The terminal can operate with
any ports in the area, providing various loading and unloading
options for cargoes arriving by river or land.
