               •  Left  ventricle:  pumps  oxygenated  blood  to  the  body
                   through aorta (the largest artery)
               Remember: the sinoatrial node (pacemaker) are located in
               the right atrium.
               Arteries: carries oxygenated blood to the other body parts.
               Veins:  carries  deoxygenated  blood  back  to  the  heart,  it
               contains valves
                          ▪  Circulatory System & Endocrine System
               ▪  BLOOD COMPONENTS:
               PLASMA: yellowish fluid that makes up 50% of blood
               RED BLOOD CELLS: they do not have a nucleus.
               They  consist  of  an  iron-containing  protein  called
               hemoglobin, which carry oxygen to the body's cells
               WHITE BLOOD CELLS: fight diseases
               PLATELETS: have a role in blood clotting
