Lungs, skin, and kidneys

• KIDNEYS: The main excretory organ of the Body.

• NEPHRON: The functional unit/filtering unit of the kidney.

• REABSORPTION: A process in which sugar is returned

to blood.

▪ Digestive System

• Includes: Mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestines,

large intestines, and accessory organs (pancreas, liver,

gallbladder)

• MOUTH: begins the process of digestion by breaking

down starches into sugars by the enzyme amylase.
