Fire Chief’s Convention
August 1948
Kelowna had the honour of hosting the B.C. Fire Chiefs Association Convention.
The elections of officers took place during this convention and distinguished authorities
from the United States and Canada addressed the near 100 Fire Chiefs attending.
The convention was welcomed by Mayor W. B. Hughes-Games on behalf of the city.
The Kelowna Volunteer Fire Brigade gave an outstanding demonstration
of their fire fighting skills in front of the Fire Hall.
