Page 13 - A Life - my Live - my path
P. 13
Foreword
When I was young, someone said to me: “to live is to feel”.
I went through life with this belief.
I started writing this book in 2019, a few months before my
68th birthday. There were periods of writing, periods of
stalling and the start of writing my second book. Today,
almost 3 years have passed.
The story is based on my memories. It details moments in
my life that have left enough of an impression on me to be
anchored in my memory.
I have listed a few important dates to help set the context.
Except from a few photos, I could have researched many of
the subjects I describe to add to them, tone them down or
even make them more meaningful. I deliberately chose not
to.
My father died in February 2019, he was just over 91. My
mother died in July 2021, she had been 92 in January; my
memories are not going to develop any further!
So why did I decide to write the story of my life?
Passing on what I've learned has always been one of my
objectives.
Through the challenges I have had to face, through the
consultancy services I offer to customers, through my work
as a university teacher, and finally, through coaching
students and people seeking change, transferring knowledge
has always been a driver.
