     I spoke up decisively:
                "President,  at  home  in  Abruzzo,  to  prepare  -  Pasta  e
                Fagioli -, we use 1 cm long macaroni, so that when you put
                a pasta in your mouth with a bean inside etc., etc.".
                I got a brief look, a little surprised, but delighted by these
                details; it was a pleasant moment.
              Despite this admission, my sister hasn't changed her mind
              and still prefers handmade pasta.
              For epicureans only, in Abruzzo, pork rind is prepared as an
              accompaniment to "Pasta e Fagioli", with the fat removed,
              cut into strips, and mixed into the "Pasta e Fagioli" as much
              as desired.
              This adds even more pleasure to the palate.
