There are 6 types of quarks with very poetic names:
- Down
- Up
- Strange
- Charm

- Bottom (Beauty)
- Top, Truth
The neutron is composed of 1 up quark and 2 down quarks.

Each quark is made up of 3 preons which indicate the
fraction of electric charge (2 preons with +1/3 charge and 1 preon
with zero charge).

In short, the smallest particles known to date are :

- Quarks (made up of protons and neutrons)
- Electrons
- Nutrinos
- Bosons (confirmed by the most recent experiment, in

179 The Higgs boson was mathematically modeled as early as 1964.
It helps explain why some particles have mass and others don't (like the
photon of light).The Higgs field: imagine a field covered in immaculate snow.
If you walk on it, your footsteps will be visible. The same applies to particles.
In the universe, there's the notion of space-time, but also the Higgs field. In
this field, every particle with mass leaves a trace. The massless photon of light
is not influenced by the Higgs field.
