VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION
The advent of July was marked as the green revolution to
celebrate Van Mahotsav week at Rajendra Nagar I. The students
were told about the importance of trees and forests, benefits of
tree plantation, harmful effects of deforestation during the
assembly. A number of activities were performed by the students
of different sections.
A special assembly was organized by the students of the Junior
section in which they talked about the various ways of protecting
the trees. They also discussed about the Chipko movement. The
students of Primary section spoke on the importance of trees
during the assembly. They also presented a mime showing harmful
effects of deforestation. The students participated in activities
which were based on the theme “Save Trees”. They made
beautiful collages and wrote inspiring slogans. On the occasion of
Van Mahotsava, the students pledged to conserve energy and
save environment. They made the cut outs of trees and wrote
poems, quotes and slogans on it.
The students planted saplings in their houses and made a nature’s
corner . The students were also told that trees are a must to keep
our planet cool and only by planting trees can we keep the Earth
healthy and provide a clean and green environment.
DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION
October and November are usually the
months of festivities in the Indian Calendar.
The rich and vibrant festivals of India are a
testimony to our diverse tradition and culture.
This helps the students to understand the
rituals of each festival and develop a liking
for the celebrations.
