In school too, a person was appointed for the sole purpose of downloading the videos
and managing them. These videos were made accessible to new admissions so that they can
get on par with their classes. It has been going on smoothly up until now. Teachers also created
their own content and posted it in the groups.
To ensure that the online classes are taken seriously, exams have been conducted using
Google Forms and also MS Teams - partly evaluated by the forms and partly by teachers. To
ease the amount of time the teachers spend on correcting online, we started collecting the
class 10 & 12 exam papers, by placing boxes near the school entrance, for the answer scripts to
be dropped off. We have taken and continue to take motivational classes for children in need of
academic assistance.
Class work books for all classes are collected at regular intervals and checked &
returned. Needless to say, all the collection & returning of various books have been done with
utmost care, keeping in mind the COVID situation. Social distancing has been maintained,
books have been collected at different venues and at different times to avoid over-crowding.
We arranged a virtual Parent Teacher Meeting where class teachers met the parents of
their class students on a virtual platform. Teachers enquired about concerns of parents and
gave them feedback about their wards.
Not to be left behind where co-scholastic activities are concerned, our students have
participated in a lot of interschool competitions held online. Model United Nations has been a
new addition to the existing co-scholastic activities, adding yet another feather to our cap. Our
children have brought laurels to our school in this too.
Two siblings from our school have entered the book of World Records.
Webinars for the students and for parents of SBSM have been conducted, which have
received a lot of appreciation. This includes two sports webinars, positive parenting,
storytelling, meditation & Mudra Healing, to name a few. We have been flooded with
messages after our programs. We have also conducted numerous COVID-19 Awareness
Programs for our students as well as their parents.
Around 40+ competitions have been conducted - 17 Online and the remaining offline,
including Debates, Declamation, Music Talent Hunt, Bharathiyar Padalgal, etc and for parents,
we have conducted debate in English and Tamil Speech Competitions. IDS Activities are going
on as usual.
Webinars have been arranged by the school, solely for our school teachers. Teachers
have also attended many webinars conducted by various organizations like BIT, MacMillan,
Orient Black Swan, CBSE etc. Few teachers have attended as many as 40 Webinars.
