travel training
Travel training was delivered in small groups, with a focus on safety and independence. Students explored common issues such as mobile phone use, missing trains, tricky road crossings and communicating with the public.
In our Social Skills module, students were able to develop their social skills, by explicitly working on these skills, and then practising these in the social outings they organised independently. This resulted in many fun trips to cafés, parks and sporting facilities.

social skills
It’s been wonderful to see the students enjoying such a variety of experiences and witnessing how they have progressed over the course of the year, knowing that the skills they have learnt will prepare them for whichever path they follow when they finish at St Edmund’s.
