Dr. Daniela Cosmini is a former Head and Academic Adjunct Fellow in Italian at Flinders University, with 20+ years’ experience researching and documenting Italian migration to South Australia. An award- winning scholar, she has published extensively, including Caulonia in the Heart, La Seconda Casa, and Ageing Between Cultures. Beyond academia, Daniela actively supports Italian community organisations and continues to contribute to Italian-Australian studies, exploring migration, ageing, and cultural heritage.
Daniela Ritorto is an award-winning journalist, presenter, and communications expert with 25 years’ experience in Australia and overseas. Formerly a BBC World News anchor and SBS Chief Political Correspondent, she has covered major global events and championed multicultural communities. Daniela now runs her own media and presentation training business, produces the Words Grow Minds podcast, and serves as a respected MC and storyteller. Proudly Italian-Australian, she combines expertise, empathy, and authenticity to inform, inspire, and connect audiences.
