U13 Orange
WPH U13 Orange had an interesting season with a slow start in competition points losing the first few games, generally by only a handful of runs.
We regained our composure with a solid winning streak busting into the top four (momentarily) and beating a couple of strong sides and even looking for outright victories on a few occasions.
I put our comeback to the boys ‘never give up’ attitude which has been there for a few years now paying dividends with a win even when a loss seemed imminent.
This coupled with some strong batting partnerships, impressive bowling, committed fielding and a contribution by ALL players from within the team has delivered a great season and a proud Coach, Manager and parent group.
We were a chance of making the semis this year and probably deserved to, but it just didn’t work out in the end. With such a great team of players and strong parental support – look out next year!
