This team had some great and memorable performances in extremely challenging situation. Despite being very young team with half team 10 years or younger, their self-belief and team spirit helped them to do well in the season.
It was really admiring to see how boys continue to back each other and motivate during the games. They have good team spirit and as they continue to mature and develop the game, I am sure we will have few future legends coming from this group.
Special Thanks to Harpreet to coach the boys and provide valuable insights and Raji and Bipin for mentoring kids. Thank you to Steve to assist with Coaching during training and game days.
Lastly thanks to all parents to helping with kids during match day and ensuring game is played within true spirit. I am sure as a team, parents and kids have built some lasting memories, this season.
Akash Shah – Manager U12 Gold
Blue
WPHCCC U12 Blues retained all our players as well as welcoming two new players; Dev & Tim. This year we asked each player to write about one of their teammates. Their insights & descriptive prose sum up the camaraderie these boys share both on & off the field.
Dev – an amazing cricket player who can take wicket maiden overs & also hit balls for boundaries. He went from a pace to a spin bowler who took 8 crucial wickets & retired in most games he played with a brilliant 134 runs in 13 matches. He took 6 awesome catches & 3 run outs due to throws that were as accurate as a sniper! Dev is also a kind & considerate person who always encourages others. (Tim)
Dhruv – is a very energetic & keen cricketer. This season he accumulated 93 runs, took 3 wickets & produced 2 amazing run outs as well as taking 4 valuable catches. He always encourages others & no matter what, he has his head up particularly behind the stumps as one of our very reliable wicketkeepers. A committed teammate who is always ready for action. (Riley)
Ekansh – has performed exceptionally well all season, taking 13 wickets & scoring 118 runs. In an amazing spell of pace bowling, he completed a hat-trick with 3/6 off 3 overs including 1 maiden against Castle Hill RSL Blue. His strength is that he is a fantastic all-rounder, consistently great bowler
