HOME AND FAMILY HERITAGE:
HOME AND FAMILY HERITAGE:
Source of Strength and Character
H Harley's parents, Beth and Kevin, both attended high school in the
small rural community of George West, Texas, county seat of Live
Oak County located about 63 miles northwest of Corpus Christi.
There most livelihoods relate to either ranching/agriculture or oil/gas
production. Local populations enjoy outdoor recreational facilities
such as Choke Canyon State Park, fifteen miles north of George West.
Water sports are popular at Lake Corpus Christi State Recreation
Area, twenty miles south of George West. The Nueces River attracts
avid boating and fishing enthusiasts. Hunters find George West
popular headquarters to track deer, turkey, dove and quail. The Live
Oak county fair, held annually in March, is a showcase of livestock
and local student projects.
