01 To increase your Promotability and Performance

                               Rating with your Accomplishments…

                             DO THIS NOT THAT

Seek opportunities outside of Focus your results on just doing
your normal job responsibilities. an excellent job at what you

                                                                              are responsible for.

Yes, you need to do an excellent job at what you are responsible for if you want to be a

            high performer and get promoted.

However, this is only a pre-requisite.

If you want to stand out and differentiate yourself from your peers (which is really what
you need to do to get that promotion or that high performance rating), you need
accomplishments that are not part of your job description.

As a leader, I’ve heard this many times, “I don’t understand why I’m not getting
            promoted!”

Or, “Why am I not being rated as a top performer? I’m doing more work than anyone on

            the team!”

I also hear, “Why did (insert name of colleague) get promoted? I work longer hours and
complete a higher volume of work than that person!”.

I get it. I used to think that way too.
