Tributes to Jennifer Stelly
Cindy Adler
This picture was from 2018 on Caddo lake and
I was lucky enough to draw her again this year
(2022) on Caddo. Jennifer is always someone a
co wants to draw because she puts in the effort
in practice, and she’s a ball of knowledge when
it comes to fishing.

We all know Jennifer has a quiet and calm demeanor. The first time I fished
with Jennifer I was a co-angler. We were fishing very pleasantly together...until I
caught THE fish. She was focused on fishing shallow and staying a good distance
from the bank. I could see we were approaching a laydown in about 10’ of water.
As we started to pass fairly close to it, I asked Jennifer, “Are you going to throw at
that laydown?” She said, “Naw, you go ahead.” After the boat passed it, I turned
and threw a black/blue senko down the side of it...BAM, the fight was on! I will
never forget her expression as she stood there and looked at me; I didn’t know
if she was going to try to throw me overboard or swing a
rod at me! Luckily, she just shook her head and said, “I bet
I don’t pass up another laydown”, then turned around and
kept on fishing. I truly enjoy Jennifer, and that experience
with her will be one of my favorites.
Frank is a great bass caddie! I’ve always known him to be
nearby to help Jennifer with whatever she needs, but still
give her space to enjoy the limelight.
