Cutting various materials
Dies are much more versatile than just being able to cut card. Here we have used a simple Star die to cut a variety of materials.
A page from an old book with the edges inked gives an aged feel, and felt creates a look reminiscent of the ‘fuzzy felt’ play sets from childhood memories. Cork, corrugated card and wood veneer give a rustic feel, and funky foam topped with a piece of cotton gives a fun and dimensional look to all your projects.
Choosing different materials is particularly good for cards made for children and younger recipients, as a tactile card front can be a entertaining little game all of its own!
