Stencilling
Die cuts don’t always have to be stuck on a card or papercraft
project – sometimes they can have some surprising and ingenious other uses.
For the decoration of this card, we’ve used the honeycomb panel die, we’ve cut the design into a piece of thick cardstock and poked out all the waste, then used the resulting design as a stencil. Place onto a piece of paper or cardstock and use an ink pad or spray to leave an artistic print of the design!
By stencilling with a die design, it allows complex and painstaking arrangements such as the honeycomb pattern to be recreated with accuracy, ease, and a good bit of artistic fun for good measure! You can play around with this idea in tonnes of ways. You could try Glossy Accents, embossing powders, paints, crayons... all sorts!
