            •  French I- (8th-12th grades) This class will introduce students to the basics of the French language as spoken in
               Europe. Students will be taught to speak, understand, read, and write basic French in common situations. The
               emphasis will be on communicating orally with an excellent accent and reasonable grammatical accuracy. We
               will use the learn-memorize-practice-apply method to help students master content using a logical, systematic
               progression. With a focus on French ministry, students will learn Bible verses and worship songs in french as
               well.  Additionally, students will experience French culture and will have the opportunity to sign-up for a
               French culinary (cooking) class to learn about French cuisine and enjoy eating it too! (See "French Cooking En

            •  French 2- (middle and high school) French 2 builds upon the skills and language learned in French 1 while
               strengthening comprehension of the spoken and written language. In this class students will continue to
               develop their reading, writing, and conversational abilities while practically applying what is taught rather than
               simply memorizing information. Students will continue to learn Bible verses and worship songs, as well as have
               the opportunity to sign-up for a French culinary (cooking) class to learn about French cuisine and enjoy eating

            •  Elementary Mandarin- (1st-5th  grades) **Potentially offered in 2018-2019** The goal of this class is to
                establish and foster student interest and motivation in learning mandarin. Young students will do this through
                meaningful, hands-on activities that encourage the use of the language. They will learn to listen, speak, read and

            •  Sign Language 1- Students will develop beginning level ASL communication skills -receptive (listening) and
               expressive (speaking) - with vocabulary and grammar in a cultural context. Course instruction and activities are
               primarily in ASL. Courses in ASL may necessitate physical contact between students and/or instructor. This
               contact may include demonstrating culturally appropriate behaviors and/or remediating students’ sign

            •  Spanish I- (high school) This introductory course is designed for students with little or no previous study of
               Spanish. Some students in class might have studied Spanish before but have not grasped some of the important
               structures of the language. This course teaches basic language patterns and vocabulary. Repetition and
               comprehensible input are important components of this course. Focus is on all four language skills; listening,
               speaking, reading and writing. Culture is an integral part of the course and is introduced through the use of
