My doctor and physiotherapist here in Canada are
both friends of mine, and I have a tremendous amount of
confidence in them. They wanted to take a conservative
approach and were reticent to do any kind of operation

For decades I’ve known I had a displaced vertebrae
from a car accident when I was 14. Dr. Hartl showed me
on the MRI how the vertebra at the injury site wore down
as I’ve aged. I had a bone spur pinching a nerve in my
neck, which was causing the intense pain in my wrist,
at the end point of the nerve.
When I woke up after the surgery, I swear the sky
was brighter. It’s hard to describe the relief. It was like Coming Soon!
I escaped from a dark tunnel of despair. I was euphoric— 2022 Annual Appeal
and I am eternally grateful.
