DR. PAM ORTIZ, GRINS 4 KIDZ
Dr. Pam Ortiz, a pediatric dentist, has been practicing in Medford for
about 20 years. She cares for children birth-21 years of age, with occasional
exception for unique circumstances and special needs kids. Educating kids
and their parents is an essential aspect of her practice. Schooling for a
children’s dentist adds a focus on children’s growth and behavior patterns,
instruction on working with kids and helping them feel comfortable. The
goal is to avoid traumatic dental experiences, which can become fears
that can carry into adulthood. The Surgeon General has declared early
childhood cavities a national health crisis. Prevention is key, and Dr. Ortiz
considers educating kids and their families about proper dental care an
essential aspect of her practice. She lets them know that sugar contributes
to dental disease and other health issues. It is recommended that children
see the dentist by their first birthday, and pediatricians affirm that during
checkups.
Grins 4 Kidz is dedicated to helping all children with their dental needs,
focused on helping them have strong, healthy teeth.
