Meloney’s children), along with Syrah, Viogner, Grenache, Tannat, Malbec,
Orange Muscat, Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Noir, and Malvasio Bianca.
The wines are distinct in character, and some favorites are their signature white
blend Pistoleta, the Syrah, dry rosé, and Bomba. According to Herb they’ll be
adding some sparkling wines to the lineup, and I’m personally excited to sample
these when they’re ready. I should also mention that the Quady North Cab Franc
was listed as one of the Top 100 in Wine by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in 2021.
I highly recommend making a tasing appointment at Quady North. The tasting
room is open six days a week, from 11 to 6, and closed on Tuesdays.
Flights are $10, glasses of white are $6 and red are $8. Tasting fees are waived
with the purchase of a bottle. They offer the classic French baguette sandwich
known as the Jambon Beurre made with ham and brie, cheese plates, and truf-
fle popcorn. Reservations are required and preference is given to wine club
members. Wine Club memberships are offered in three tiers: Fellow Traveler
(12 bottles per year), Q &N Card Carrier (24 bottles per year) and Terroirista
(36 bottles per year). Special member-only events are held onsite, and Quady
also takes part in the annual Applegate Uncorked event.
Call the tasting room at 541-702-2123 for reservations, and visit the website for
more information on their full lineup of wines and to join the wine club.
