What a Christian Believes
Foundations are a critical factor in life, whether you are building a house,
bringing up children, learning to operate computers or grappling with reading,
writing and arithmetic.
The characteristics of any kind of foundations are straightforward. They have
to be strong and immovable, largely invisible once laid and have the stability
to carry everything which will be built upon them.
The book is well written and is in our opinion far from being a heavy
read. In fact it's quite easy to read. We cannot agree with you more
that faulty foundations make the transition from babes in Christ to per-
fect saints slow and difficult. The remedial measures are often more
time consuming than laying a proper foundation in the first place.
In this work you have underscored poignantly the importance of bibli-
cal truth and doctrine as the primary building block of any foundation
of a young Christian in Christ.
Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy warns “Take heed to thyself and
your doctrine... in doing this thou shall save both thyself and them that
hear thee."
I strongly recommend this book to all believers both young and old. To
the young, this book will help you lay a very solid foundation in Christ.
To the old, you will find this book both refreshing to yourself and also a
good tool to help you lay a solid foundation for your new converts.

It is a time to remove preconceptions, formulas and programmes; to become
healthily vulnerable and for the people of God to understand there is a level of
holiness that is both attainable and necessary.
Any confusion of doctrine and a lack of clear understanding of the truth of the
Gospel makes it very difficult to teach Christians that they are to be Led by the
Spirit, in contrast to living under law and walking according to the flesh.
The adventure of faith that the Christian life is surely meant to be, can become
normal daily living.
