Laying on of Hands

The expression that someone has healing hands is false in
regard to Christianity. Where there is indication that someone
has such an ability and claims it for themselves, the source
is another spirit - not the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit came to Glorify Jesus Christ. The test of
all gifts that are applied by the LAYING ON OF HANDS and
claiming some spiritual involvement is this - IS JESUS
CHRIST THE SON OF GOD, WHO DIED FOR THE SINS OF
THE WORLD, EXPLICITLY GIVEN ALL THE CREDIT FOR
THE BLESSING THAT IS BEING IMPARTED. If not then it
is another spirit. Such a spirit will eventually bring harm to
the one who is supposed to be blessed.

In many alternative therapies, such as yoga, reflexology,
acupuncture, Christian Spiritualism (which is not Christian at
all), yin and yang, hypnotism, chrystals etc., are spiritual roots
from other religions. Sometimes the spiritual significance is
kept hidden by practitioners but a christian should be wary.
Where someone has been involved in these and is troubled
that they have been negatively affected, the Laying on of
Hands, in the name of Jesus Christ will set them free.

It should be stated that physiotherapy and other similar
medical practices involving hands, do not have spiritual roots
and do not make spiritual claims.

                 To impart Blessing

In most cultures the using of the hands symbolising blessing
is widespread. Two friends meeting might put their hands on
the shoulder or arm of the other. A mother will caress the
                forehead of a sick child.

This natural human act has been adapted amongst God's
