4. Laying on of Hands.

This is the next of the ELEMENTARY DOCTRINES of
Christianity and it is very closely linked to the work of the
Holy Spirit. The Bible shows us that the purpose of The
Laying on of Hands is threefold;

1.To impart Blessing
under this heading is included receiving the Baptism
in the Holy Spirit and receiving the Gifts of the Holy
Spirit.

2.To impart Authority
under this heading is included The appointing of all
kinds of Ministers of the Church, including
deacons, pastors, missionaries, who will either
work in the local church or be sent out from it, for
service.

3.To impart Healing
When the section on SALVATION was studied, it was
seen that there was provision for physical health and
healing for a believer.

God has chosen to impart His power by the Holy Spirit,
through believers Laying on Hands.

It is vital to understand that the power is not in the hands but
in the Holy Spirit. Whatever the blessing that comes, it is
through Faith in Jesus Christ, who being raised from the
dead and ascended to glory, works in power, through the
Holy Spirit, who is given to all believers.
