the possession of the ego it can manifest its goodness or become bad. Only
spiritual awareness can ensure you avoid this pitfall. Your ego will always
empower your negative side. It is unfortunate that the only way God can
attract your attention is when all seems hopeless. Your ego will drive you
further into the mire it has guided you into. You Spirit, however will
endeavour to attract your ego attention and guide you to a point where you can
be assisted. It will always require you, the ego, to realise and admit to the
dilemma you are in, and also to be open to our guidance. This is especially
important when you have all the other avenues open, that your ego leads you
into. In the case of illness, it is very often found that one’s delay in opening to
Spirit, allows their body has become so damaged that serious intervention
becomes necessary, like surgery, and even then if the recognition of the
guidance is still ignored, the illness can become terminal. Of course in many
cases the illnesses were necessary to encourage the ego to relinquish its hold
on the body and permit it to pass away. The eventual outcome always depends
on the ego letting go and “letting God”.
