psychosis that the psychotic often become religious, and often fanatically so.
Such is the power of religious delusion. However, should the psychotic person
become aware of the control that is held on their lives and rebel against that
while in the delusional state, mayhem can manifest. Their mixed
consciousness explodes into total inexplicable chaos, that is unless the spiritual
side of their nature is treated with love, understanding and shown compassion.
However the usual solution is to medicate then into insensibility, by
anaesthetising their ego. This is, if you like, why often those who trade on their
natural psychic abilities become, in themselves, deluded by their ego and can
even become psychotic.
