by the well meaning health practitioner, but they are
often uninitiated though medically qualified, or by
equally uninitiated “alternative health” practitioners,
also equally qualified but through their official bodies,
for their fears and unawareness. Hence, the use of the
word ‘victim’ for the target of this, now collective,
negativity. The ego is the target as it is its own
negativity that draws the need for this particular illness
and often raises the question by the diagnosis of “why
me”. There is a saying, “Everyone eventually reaches the
level of their own incompetence”, and in this case of
course refers to the ego’s own limitations. Because of the
ego thinking that this world it occupies infers particular
rights upon its existence, and this life is there to serve it,
it is a huge revelation to the ego to realise that this is
possibly not the case. The ego cannot accept this and
then begins the process of denial, excuses, blame and
