God.
The closer we get to God the more awesome
this ever present Being becomes. To venture this close, to the
point of questioning the existence of God, is still so far
removed from God that any progress we might make in
discovering the knowledge that might convince us of a
presence of such a Divine being is a mammoth step in the right
direction.
We cannot prove that God exists. We cannot
prove that God does not exist. We can only believe that God
does or does not exist. One belief is as valid as the other. Or is
it? To not believe would render us void of the possibility of
positive proof one way or the other. Remember belief is not
truth. It would be folly to linger on the road of belief and thus
never encounter the truth. To accept the belief as the goal in our
search for meaning is but a step and to progress to the truth we
must take another step albeit that we still retain belief until
starts to unfold.
It is easier to meet with the truth when one
occupies the openness of positive belief. In this case, as there is
no valid reason why a belief in the existence of God is no more
compromising than a belief in the non-existence, let us accept
the hypothesis that God does exist. With this hypothesis we can
