The time chart of the world.

Experts consider that the Earth is a least four

thousand, five hundred millions years old of which in the first
four thousand million years only microscopic life forms
developed. It was only in the last five hundred million years

that other, more advanced forms began to appear. Dinosaurs
arrived about two hundred and twenty five million years ago

and humankind didn’t appear until three million years ago.
Human form that resembles how we look today only appeared
one hundred thousand years ago. So you might say that the

human form is new to this world.

Precambrian.
This period accounts for eight ninths of Earths history.

Much of this history lies hidden in the rocks which are too
altered to provide fossils. However there are still places where
the rocks that are still rich in microscopic fossils which include

the oldest known forms of life.

550 Millions years ago - Cambrian
The first appearance of complex animals, e.g. sponges,

worms and jellyfish.

500 Millions years ago – Ordovician
