Spiritual Development (2).
For this time we shall consider the pitfalls that face those
in purposeful search for their own spirituality. Success in this
search can breed trouble for the unwary earthbound human. It is
all too easy to find that there is a factor of ego involved. To find
the right path might encourage an overrun of enthusiastic
outbursts in the most inappropriate places.
People will find that others will stand in certain awe of the
revelations that have befallen the newly initiated. This newcomer
to the knowledge can rightly feel a certain pride in their
achievement and yet only a certain pride. If one were to feel
nothing then there would be no motivation for further progress.
This pride is the most likely pitfall that one will encounter in the
first instance. It is not a bad thing to entertain a modicum of ego,
for that is what this pride may be called, but it is almost
impossible to measure the degree of ego that is being entertained.
There is no short way that ego can be controlled other than for
one to be in constant watch for this insidious emotion to manifest.
The most important action is to be aware.
We will move to another matter that can arise in this
evolution we talk about. This is another emotion that exists, and
