Prayer.
The significance of prayer needs to be understood.
Conventionally, and in Christian terms, we know of prayer in terms of
the popular Lord's prayer and many others in that form.
If one were to accept that our spirit guides are our friends and
that God is the epitome of love and friendship, how can we see that
any conversation with Him should be so repetitious and generally so
insincere?
Prayer, we are told, is to ask earnestly, to entreat, to petition,
to make a request or confession, especially to God. Isn't it time to
acknowledge that repetitious prayer is the lazy, insincere way of
dedicating our entreaties to Him?
Is this how you would treat your earthly friends? Be sincere,
acknowledge the friendship and love of God and when you see the
need to talk with the Divine that is how it should be, a conversation.
Remember that prayer is an expression of your love. Feel the
love that flows when you speak to one who is exceptionally close to
you. When you pray to Spirit it should at least be with the same love
and therefore have the same feelings. As in love, there should be no
conditions attached to prayer.
When you seek to commune with Spirit, it must be
remembered that it is in love and friendship. You may discuss your
feelings, you may discuss the prospect of healing.
You may ask for healing on behalf of those who come to you
seeking your intercession with God for their recovery. Prayer is
