vocation to be a servant to God on earth. There are many who
through their vocations have failed to find a place for
themselves amongst what has already been provided and
sought to set up their own special place. Often these people
would have set an example to others to be similarly inspired
and as a consequence spiritual communities were formed
around the ‘special’ one who chose God over society and ego.
These beings were to provide the basis for the formalising of
religion. They represented an alternative way of living as
against a way of surviving. They were showing Gods way as
compared to humankind’s way. This then is the ‘conflict’
between Godliness and humanity, between ego and Spirit.
You have a saying in your world, “if you can’t beat them, join
them”. Humankind cannot ‘beat’ God. Humanity didn’t join
God either. Humankind invented religion, religion based on
spiritual truth but devised as a control system over fellow
humans. Religions then took into their fold the many
communities founded through the spiritual teachings
channelled by their founders. The community was flattered by
the recognition of their founder by the state religion and
accepted the state religion as its now benefactor, and
subjected itself to the laws of the state. Even today this
conflict continues, ego versus Spirit, church versus state,
community versus community, religion versus spirituality.
The boundaries are now so obscure that the truth is almost
indistinguishable from the lies. How then is the young adult to
know what to decide? The real truth is always available, built
into the core of every being. Find that core within your being
and you will find God. Only then will you be able to assist
and guide those within your care. You then can become the
founding ‘parent’ of a community, only this time it can be
