the Spirit decides that it is appropriate that it uses these
defects to aid its development spiritually. Then there is the
situation where the Spirit has deliberately chosen the body
that genetically carries a difficulty that will aid its spiritual
development. In all of these circumstances the parents will
feel the first effect of whatever happens. Spirit has also
chosen parents with the strength to bear these sadness's and
stresses. To withstand the emotional turmoil the body suffers,
that the ego suffers, requires extreme strength. The spiritual
benefits are also extreme.
Birth is a part of the Law of Cause and effect also, when
looked at correctly. It is the successful outcome to a human
sexual union. We sometimes hear women saying things like
"this is my mistake", "I don't know how it happened", "God
knows I have enough". These same utterances are heard as
excuses for other "unexpected" outcomes to human actions.
God does know you have enough but it is you that needs to
know that. It is you who commits to the outcome by making
the decision to have human intercourse. There are no
unwanted pregnancies. Of course this statement does
challenge you, but if you really think about it, if it was
unwanted then how did it happen? Yes there are situations
where it is hard to suggest this hypothesis, such as involuntary
sexual intercourse and in these circumstances the pregnancy
would appear to be unwanted. However, if you look at this
from a spiritual perspective, the role of a human is to
experience events that provide the means for increasing the
evolution of the Spirit, and this entails situations being
