This provides for many benefits. Every piece of corporate business will be accessible from anywhere. If we have two separate physical offices we will, by definition, have immediate disaster recovery enabled. If one office is disabled for any reason, the other will have the immediate availability of all business information. When a customer contacts us, or one of our agents for any reason, we will have an immediate history available of all previous contacts, business done and status of anything ongoing for that customer. This kind of information available at the point of contact with our customer will be invaluable for improving customer satisfaction, improving the efficiency of our business and creating additional sales opportunities for other products.
There will be a comprehensive audit trail. Audit trails are required, of course, for accounting controls and data recovery but we are talking about going beyond that. We want to save every encounter with our corporate data. Whether it is a data entry session required for a customer driven transaction, a document scanned or even an error being corrected.
