The purpose of the model-office team is not to volume-test the functionality or stress it in any way. Instead, their job is to validate the solution and offer suggestions for improvement.
Train Everyone
After the model-office team accepts the software as being ready for production, then it is time to begin the second phase of the model-office team’s work. That second phase is to train the departmental employees who will be using the software, work in concert with the department heads to finalize production procedures and place the solution into production.
Each model-office team member will have used the software, as a simulated production user, through the final development phase. They will therefore be experts in the use of the system. They are also experts in the business of their respective departments. They are therefore perfect candidates for the task of training their peers in the use of the solution.
