It will not be the typical user interface designed by technical people. Anyone who understands your business should be able to learn to use the solution very readily. The user interface and processes will be much more of a reflection of your business than in the case of traditional software.
Guidelines for each department’s implementation should be developed. This will help document decisions and recommendations of the model-office team as far as the production operation of the software is concerned. These guidelines will be written at a very high level. They are not intended as user documentation. Instead, they are to aid the department heads in establishing procedures for taking advantage of the functionality to be delivered with the new solution.
