The model office team will execute the day in the life process, gather results and form their own opinions of how well the new solution fits your business. Their feedback to the development team will precipitate further changes and improvements in the software.
The updated version will be run through the same day in the life test for additional feedback to the development team. This cyclical process continues until the model office team is satisfied that no errors occur, and no further improvements can be made.
Each individual operating department has their own focus. Finance cares about numbers, customer service cares about the customer experience and so forth. This type of business acceptance testing is very different from the traditional heads-down; end-to-end regression testing that normally accompanies a new software.
The purpose here is to simulate real production.
