The ISU Project Team has been regularly tapped by the DILG for the conduct of CSIS in various LGUs in Isabela. The Institute had
already conducted CSIS in different municipalities and cities in Isabela, and Batanes as well. Regular consultation engagements and
technical assistance to LGUs and other organizations have also been conducted. The sustainability of these activities was being maintained
            to aid in community development.

A Project titled Valuation on LGU’s Emergency Measures in times of Natural and Human-induced Disasters: A Citizen’s Perspective,
has been selected as one of the projects under the CY 2016 implementation of the DILG Technical Assistance Program for Local Resource
Institutes on the Utilization of the CSIS Results. The project aims to gauge citizens’ perception of local disaster risk, reduction, and management
(LDRRM) strategies of LGUs. Furthermore, it aims to offer feedback mechanisms and help provide insight and guidance on how LDRRM may
be integrated into development strategies both in national and local governments.

Two years after the conduct of the study, the
DILG Central Office has identified to document the
area on Disaster Risk Reduction Management in the
3 cities – Cauayan, Ilagan, and Santiago. This was
done to communicate and advocate the utilization of
CSIS results to improve public service delivery by
developing a compendium on the best practices
conducted by LRI grantees of the DILG Technical
                Assistance Program.
The result of the study was presented
                        I
during the nternational Conference on Governance and
Partnership, and Technology Exhibition on Climate
Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk
Management in Local Governance last October 23,
2018 at the Marco Paulo Hotel, Cauayan City,
                Isabela.
Fortunately, the ISU-CSIS TA project was selected as one of the top 24 Documented Powerful Stories anchored on the results
of the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS). In November 2018, the University represented by the President and CSIS Project Manager
was invited to the launching of the compendium and to give a testimonial focusing on the impacts of the project implemented by the
                ISU Project Team.
