 Composers’ Club
An opportunity for boys to explore their compositional talents outside of the classroom. They can compose using their instrument or voice and are then encouraged to write it down, either on traditional manuscript or using the music programme ‘Sibelius’, or to compose using ‘GarageBand’.
Flute Group
The flute group aims to develop flautists’ talents using a variety of techniques and pieces of music. This is open to boys who are nearing or have passed their Grade 1. It provides boys with greater confidence to perform in small and large music groups as well as performing for an audience.
Guitar Ensemble
The Guitar Ensemble plays a wide variety of music and caters for both the intermediate and more advanced guitarists. In recent years the group has entered the Leamington Spa Competitive Festival and won Best Junior Guitar Ensemble.
Advanced Guitar Ensemble
This invitational guitar group is for the more advanced players where they explore a more difficult and challenging guitar repertoire, designed to stretch their developing guitar playing skills.
Handbells
The Handbell group is for boys who already play an instrument and can read music to Grade 1 or 2 standard. They play a wide range of music and perform in most of the Junior School concerts and feature each year in the Junior School Carol Service at the Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick.
