Module 9: LNG Fueling and Defueling

MODULE 9: OVERVIEW

Introduction Just as with CNG vehicles, there will be times when technicians may need to fuel or
defuel LNG vehicles.

Importance When fueling or defueling LNG vehicles, it is important to be familiar with the
components you will use and to know the safety precautions that must be taken to
prevent injuries to yourself and others.

Module Overview In this module, we will review the proper steps for fueling an LNG vehicle and the
personal protective equipment (PPE) required. In addition, we will review two methods
for defueling LNG vehicles.

Learning Objectives  Summarize the LNG fueling process
 List the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for LNG fueling and defueling
 Describe the two primary LNG defueling methods
