Unique Hazards of LNG
                                 Cryogenic fuel
How to Distinguish Between  Use PPE
CNG and LNG Vehicles
                                 Large expansion ratio
                                      Ensure liquid cannot
                                           become trapped
                                           between two valves

                                 Parking/venting
                                       Methane gas detection
                                           systems are required

                                 LNG vehicles feature:
                                      Unique LNG diamond
                                          sign on rear of
                                          vehicle
                                      Blue cap on fueling
                                          receptacle
                                      Uniquely shaped fuel
                                          storage tank

General Safety Practices – LNG  Do not allow an LNG vehicle
Vehicles into a facility that has not
                                    been modified specifically
for LNG and/or that does not
                                    have a working methane gas
                                    detection system

                                 Wear Personal Protective
                                    Equipment (PPE) as
                                    prescribed by manufacturer
 Do not allow bare skin
                                          to come into contact
                                          with LNG fuel system
                                          components

If You Detect an LNG Leak  Move or leave the vehicle
                                    outdoors

 Identify the source of the
                                    leak

                                 Repair according to
                                    manufacturer’s procedures
