Anybody doing spring cleaning?

Once upon a time, books were popular decorating statements. Some of us may still feel that way because
it is hard to part with a book we've enjoyed or have intentions of reading. I look at my collection and
wonder, "When am I going to get around to that"? Jane Goodall has always intrigued me whether it's a
chapter book for adults or a beautiful picture book for children. "The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide
for Trying Times" by Jane Goodall was a recent public library check out that I enjoyed very much.
Then I realized I had the prequel on my shelf untouched and unread, "Reasons For Hope". It sat there
            hoping to be read.

Many of the titles at the Retreat Library feel the same way. They are waiting to be enjoyed. We are fortu-
nate to have a dedicated space for our community to use and share their love for literature. We are fortu-
nate to have dedicated volunteers who maintain this space. The best compliment you may offer is to
check out materials, return them when you are finished, or donate those titles you read recently that made
you pause and say, "I wish there was more". Jane Goodall is not in our Retreat Library but the story is, there are many other wonderful titles
to enrich and entertain us. Stop dusting the shelves at home and pick up a Retreat Library book or donate your favorite read this month. We
ask that you be kind with your donations, only recently published titles are able to go onto our shelves due to space but we appreciate your
            thoughtfulness.

As a side story, the Roseville Parks, Recreation, and Library Department is excited to share a new event called "Age Well Roseville Sum-
mit". This is a part of the Be Well Roseville initiative that focuses on being active, eating healthy, and feeling renewed. The Age Well Rose-
ville event is one day and features vendor booths, educational workshops, presentations and a variety of resources specifically focused on our
older adult population and their loved ones. This will be an expo where the community may attend for free to begin (or continue) planning
for aging well. The event will have guest speaking rooms for more focused information sharing but seating is limited. If April 7th is an open
date for you, please join us at the Roseville Sports Center and the Meeting Rooms outside of the Riley Library from 8:00am-2:00pm. Guest
speakers and detailed information is being finalized and coming soon. Hope to see you all there.
