GENERAL MANAGER, Laura Young, CCAM
I’m glad that wild March weather will soon be behind us
and I hope April is a bit kinder to us all. Get ready for
some fun! Bocce starts up this month along with the pool
opening for the season on April 15th. See page 15 for a
reminder of the general pool rules. We will be hosting a
happy hour by the pool on April 27th to celebrate. Water
classes begin in May so if you haven’t signed up yet, make sure you
stop by and register. Summer music will be back on Fridays, May
through September. I can’t wait!
With the recent storms, some homes have damaged or failing fences
which have been brought to management’s attention. Please note that
fences are Owner responsibility, either fences facing the common area
or party fences between neighbors. If your fence can be seen from the
street, it requires architectural approval if your request for improvement
falls outside the preapproved guidelines noted in the architectural rules
handbook.
Handling the expected or unexpected sale of a home is often stressful.
Sometimes, you or your family may have the added stress of needing to
hold an estate sale. Please note that while they are permitted in the
community, there are some guidelines to follow: Per the PRG’s, 2.8.1.
Estate Sales. Estate Sales are permitted only if (A) prior approval is re-
ceived from the Executive Director; (B) sale is limited to three (3) days;
(C) sale is held entirely inside of the house, with the garage door re-
maining closed at all times except during removal of purchases; (D)
three (3) advertising signs are permitted (in Resident’s front lawn and
in landscape area near the entrances to The Club; (E) signs must be
printed professionally (no handwritten signs); (F) maximum signage
size allowed is 2x3 feet. Please make every effort to connect with man-
agement for the permission and guidelines prior to holding a sale. We
realize they can generate a lot of traffic, but we must be kind and re-
spectful to our neighbors. We need to make sure roadways are clear for
deliveries and emergency vehicles. Along the same topic, garage sales
are prohibited unless sponsored by the Association. The Association
holds a garage sale once a year on the first Saturday of June. This year
rd
it falls on June 3 . Spring cleaning is in the air! You can start preparing
for the sale now to “clear that clutter”.
